WWF Gives Thanks: 10 Conservation Accomplishments of 2007

As Thanksgiving approaches, we pause for reflection and recognize the progress that’s been made this year in the name of nature. Sometimes it can seem as if the world’s conservation needs are overwhelming–too many priorities, too many calls for help and the frustration that nothing one does will ever be enough. But by focusing our efforts on a short list of the most important places for diversity of life around the world, and improving the practices of institutions that are changing the state of the Earth, WWF is making a difference even in the face of challenging and often adverse circumstances.
