You can help plant a billion trees.
Tropical forests help serve as the lungs of the Earth to regulate the atmosphere and stabilize our global climate.
That’s why we just launched plantabillion.org in support of our on-the-ground effort and science-based campaign where one dollar plants one tree.

Tropical forests help serve as the lungs of the Earth to regulate the atmosphere and stabilize our global climate.

That’s why we just launched plantabillion.org in support of our on-the-ground effort and science-based campaign where one dollar plants one tree.

The Plant a Billion Trees campaign launched by The Nature Conservancy is working in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil to restore 2.5 million acres of land by planting 1 billion trees over the next seven years.

The Atlantic Forest is considered one of the world’s most endangered tropical forests — only 7 percent of this once vast landscape now remains.

Explore the forest with our interactive map highlighting some of the 23 species of primates, more than 1,000 species of birds and over 20,000 species of plants that call the Atlantic Forest home.

At just a dollar a tree, there has never been a conservation project of this scale that’s ever been so within the world’s reach.

Please join with us to help reach this goal and tell your friends about plantabillion.org today.

Thanks a billion!

World Wildlife Fund is on a roll! On June 6, 2006 the Brazilian government announced the creation of new protected areas in the Amazon region totaling approximately 6.2 million acres. The Amazon has the world’s highest diversity of birds and freshwater fish, as well as the planet’s largest rain forest, which is home to more than one third of all species. However, illegal logging, slash-and-burn agriculture, and other human activities are destroying the forest at an alarming rate. This is another amazing step forward for WWF’s ambitious conservation project, the Amazon Region Protected Area (ARPA). Learn more about this fabulous conservation victory!
